| This is Mien. She is very kind but afraid of everything. Even of birds! She only goes outside when I am with her. And even then she stays between me and the door. She has been performed surgery on for kidney stones for the second time in September. I am making sure that she can not reach the food of the other cats, but she is always hungry. Now I check this twice before I close the door. |
| This is Trixie. She is a cross between a Maine Coon and a Turkish Van. When I noticed that she was deaf I contacted the breeder. I could trade her for another kitten, but since I didn't knew what would happen to her, I decided to keep her. And of course you grow attached to such a sweet one. And we managed with sign language. She is odd eyed with a blue and a brown eye. She is very sweet but with lots of temperament. When you take a bath you better close the door. She will join you if she can. She is also good at escaping. The veterinarian, Geert Vandersteeghen in Sint-Truiden, whom I brought her for to for sterilization, knows that. There she escaped from her cage and activated the alarmsystem. But despite her deafness she is very sweet and even likes driving along by car. |
| Tom is a true outdoor cat. He chases birds and mice. You hear him from far. When the weather is nice he will be outside from morning till midnight. But when it starts getting colder he likes to be inside . He is very friendly. But strangers can not approach him, no matter what they offer him. And that is ok by me! |
| Jerry has been raised by our Jack Russell who is our mascot. The only thing she couldn't do was feeding him. So I bought some cans at the pharmacy, made some bottles, fed him and as soon as that was done the dog took over. With 6 months he had the appearance of a cat with a nice pony tail, but he had taken over many manners of our dog. A cat with dog traits. I have never seen a cat eating cherries but he did. Everything we ate, he ate. He really was every ones friend. And one day he was gone. We haven't found any trace from him. Even flyers, which we put up everywhere, didn't help. It was September 2005 that I lost him, but I will never forget him. This is how he looked like 2 days before he disappeared. | |
